We are excited to announce a significant milestone in our journey: Apéros Frenchies will change its name to Jetlaggers starting October 1st, 2024! This rebranding represents an important evolution that reflects our desire to better serve our diverse international community while staying true to our core mission: creating authentic connections among expats worldwide.

Why the change name?

When we first launched in 2015, the name Apéros Frenchies was a natural choice since our afterwork events were specifically designed for French expats living abroad. As we grew, we quickly built a dynamic community of expats in Frankfurt, and our success encouraged us to expand to other European cities. Over the years, our audience has grown to 35,000 members and become more diverse, and our event formats have evolved to include workshops, sports classes, talks, and more. Additionally, we noticed that many non-French speakers found it difficult to pronounce and remember the brand name correctly. As a result, the name Apéros Frenchies no longer fully captures the broader, more inclusive community we have become.

New Branding, same Community!

We want to reassure you that while our name is changing, everything else remains the same! Your existing memberships will still be valid, and our events will continue to offer the same exciting experiences. The current Jetlaggers membership, priced at €24.90 per month, will simply become Jetlaggers Premium. Additionally, the Classic annual membership in Paris, priced at €19.99 per year, will also remain unchanged.

The only change you’ll notice is a fresh touch to our new branding! We’re introducing an additional membership focused on business networking, initially available only in Paris. The “Business Corner” membership will allow members to meet twice a month at our afterwork events to connect professionally, build valuable relationships, and access an exclusive professional network.

With Jetlaggers, we want to embrace the spirit of adventure and discovery that defines the expat lifestyle. This new name reflects our commitment to evolving and expanding our offerings to cater to the diverse needs of modern expatriates. We will continue to host our signature afterwork events in exceptional venues across Europe, while also offering a wider range of experiences—networking nights, casual brunches, cultural outings, sports activities, and more.

The Story Behind Jetlaggers

Jetlaggers draws its inspiration from the rich international experiences of our founders, Marie-Anne (left) and Elizabeth (right), two French sisters who have spent much of their lives abroad. Born in New Caledonia and Congo respectively, and raised in France, they each followed unique international journeys before reuniting in Frankfurt, Germany in 2015. It was there that they started hosting afterwork events for French expats, which quickly  expanded to attract a diverse, global audience,
